Lori Morris, Owner/Managing Broker

I founded EcoMark Realty LLC with Alex Valdez and Jake DiRe in December of 2009.  My contribution to the team is 13 years of real estate experience primarily in real estate management.  My passion is teaching and helping others succeed (which I wasn’t able to do at my last company BTW)!  If you think all real estate brokers are the same just get into a tough transaction and see what happens.  Most brokers possess only basic knowledge on the most important issues in residential real estate today.  You can rest assured that the EcoMark Realty team serves our clients with a higher degree of real estate knowledge and skill than the average real estate broker.

Alex Valdez, Owner/Broker

Hello I’m Alex, I am one of those rare people we Coloradoans call a native.  I was born and raised in Aurora, after high school I decided to attend CU Boulder (I don’t hold the CSU thing against Jake).  After graduating form CU I moved to Florida to pursue a career with Delta as an airline pilot.  I soon decided that I love to fly as a hobby not a career and moved to Hawaii where I landed a great job working at sea and became a merchant marine.

A few years ago I decided that Denver is the place for me (where else can one enjoy 300 days of sun a year).  I took a job in resort development where I met Jake, soon we realized we both had a shared interest in sustainability and backgrounds in real estate, together we formed EcoMark.

I enjoy flying, travel, and spending time with friends and family in my free time. My strongest belief is that business is about relationships, and trust.  Those principals are the driving force behind the EcoMark brand.

Jake DiRe, Owner/Broker

Hi, I’m Jake and here is a little about me. I moved to Colorado from Kirkland, Washington (that’s right, the Costco brand “Kirkland Signature!”), to attend Colorado State University. My main motivation for choosing college in Colorado was the amazing ski slopes, and to try something new.

After graduating with a degree in marketing, I moved to Santa Barbara, California for an advertising sales job. As beautiful as California was, I realized that I really missed Colorado and decided to move back to Denver to sell vacation properties. While back in Denver I developed a growing interest in the green marketing and real estate sector, decided to team up with Alex, and EcoMark was born!

In the midst of work and school I have also been fortunate enough to follow my passion for traveling and have visited most of Europe and the West Coast of South America. So if anyone has questions or a shared experience, I would love to hear from you. Plus, I already have plans in place to visit South Africa for the 2010 World Cup, can’t wait!

Alexandra Allen, Broker

I grew up in the Congress Park area where I attended Bromwell Elementary, Stanley British Primary School, and graduated from East High School. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver in Hospitality, Tourism, and Events Management.

Growing up in central Denver I have witnessed the transformation of this great city as well as its neighborhoods. They are vibrant and energized by the influx of young professionals, growing families, empty nesters, and people who just need a change in their life! When people come here to work and play; they choose Denver for the active lifestyle, sports teams, great restaurants, boutiques, galleries, culture, and sheer beauty! In both my training and work experience, my focus has always been on providing excellent customer service. Phil Jody, finance/design

Hi, I’m Phil and moved to Denver in 2001 from New Hampshire.  I received my bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Oklahoma (Big 12 fans please don’t hold this against me!) and am currently working on a degree in kitchen and bath design.  I have always loved real estate and recently renovated a house in the five points area of Denver.

I love to travel and experience as much of this planet as I can. Each country that I have visited has been an incredible education about the varying cultures and people that inhabit this planet. I enjoy seeing the different architecture and design techniques used and try to incorporate them into my own designs to create something a bit different than what would be considered the norm in this part of the world.

My family and friends have always been incredibly supportive of me and the choices that I have made and am very blessed to have them in my life.

I am currently working on getting my real estate license and am excited to have that process underway!

Lindsay Mick, Broker

My name is Lindsay and I am real estate agent in the Denver Metro Area. I believe in everything “green” from living in healthy, energy efficient homes to buying organic food to helping the planet out in any way possible. The “green revolution” is the way of the future and we are just at the forefront of realizing the potentials (and needs) to sustaining our environment. I joined EcoMark because we believe in sustainable green building practices and our goal is to not only market and sell green homes, but we want to make sure the public is educated and aware of green building practices. It is all about education. The more people that know about sustainable homes and building practices, the more we can bond together for the cause of changing our world.

I graduated from Colorado State University (Go Rams!) with a business degree in Finance and Real Estate. After graduation, I worked as a financial analyst with a major national homebuilder and I have spent the last 2 years learning all of the ins and outs of finance modeling, budgeting and setting financial goals. I really believe my experience as a financial analyst will help my clients understand everything they need to know when purchasing or sellling a home.

When I’m not doing real estate, I enjoy working out, cooking, spending time with my fiance and 2 dogs, exploring Denver neighborhoods, traveling, going out to eat, riding my bike, training for triathlons and just being around friends. I will be marrying my best friend this summer, so most of my free time is spent planning our wedding. We are planning our wedding to be as “green” as possible and really doing our part to make it a fun, memorable and earth friendly event.
